[R]esearch into [the Church of Scientology Mission of Beaufort] has revealed, via reconnaissance of the shopping center it's listed as being at, that there is no longer a mission there, or any other visible Scientology presence. I and the scout do not, however, know when they left the property, though I personally suspect it wasn't too long after the Charleston mission pulled up its figurative tent stakes, around the turn of the century. The registration with the SC Secretary of State is, though, still active. It's just referring to a dead mission.
