Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination

Hi, my name is Mike Gormez (mgormez@chello.nl) and I am the author of STOP-WISE.BIZ. A website mainly intended to inform the public about Scientology's World Institute of Scientology Enterprises. Specifically pointing out its unethical practices and to assist WISE/WISE licensed consultant victims. This page is about the WISE publication "Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination" (link to scientology site). "Bridge" is the word they use for Scientology path.

The "Guide" was launched in April 2003 during WISE's convention on board Scientology's ship the Freewinds (allegedly loaded with blue asbestos). It is 300 page manual for WISE consultants "on how to handle reaches from clients, colleagues and business associates for help with their personal problems by referring them to a Church for assistance."

This clearly is more prove WISE dearly wants its licensed consultants to recruit non-scientologists into the Church of Scientology. The title on itself is a damning statement by WISE when you know the language, and yet it will get better. In its offical magazine they are more brazen and don't talk of "referring them to a Church" but "referring them to a Church of Scientology".

To better understand the Scientology language and concepts that will follow, I'll include an excerpt from the expert report by Prof. Dr. Stephen A. Kent which he submitted in a suit about the dismissal of three employees by a WISE member dentist, when they refused, on grounds of religious conscience, to attend WISE seminars.

Short explanations accompany each of the eight cartoons as printed in "Getting Clients up The Bridge." Prosperity Issue 30 (1992): :

  1. Businessman [sic] attends a seminar or lecture[.]
  2. Signs up for consulting and training[.]
  3. Along with analyzing the client's business, the consultant reviews the Eight Dynamics and explains how Dianetics and Scientology can do for the client's life what the Admin Tech can do for his business[.]
  4. If client reaches to handle his first dynamic [i.e., himself], he is put in touch with the reg [i.e., registrar] of his local Class V Org or Mission[.] [A Class V Org is authorized to offer a particular level of Scientology courses.]
  5. Client studies LRH Admin Tech[.]
  6. Client applies tech to his business and has wins[.]
  7. Client reaches, if he has not done so before, to get LRH tech applied to himself[.]
  8. Client has his OCA [the Oxford Capacity Analysis] evaluated at his local Class V Org or Mission (WISE International, 1992c: 14).

-- End of excerpt expert report --

How the recruitment is done in real life is told on video by Bill and Barbara, two dentist who say they were defrauded by Scientology after signing up for management training courses.

Below are excerpts from Prosperity, the official magazine of WISE International, concerning the Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination. It is notably more explicit than the quoted text from their website.

We also produce the Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination, a manual of more than 300 pages on how to handle clients, colleagues and business associates who come to you for help with their personal problems by referring them to a Church of Scientology for assistance.

Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination
To enable WISE members to assist their business clients who ask for help with personal problems by introducing them to Scientology technology for handling such problems. Wise publishes the Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination -- a manual full of successful actions from WISE's veteran disseminators and WISE-licensed consultants who have helped their clients and associates receive assistance with personal problems that were inhibiting their success in business and in life. The manual also includes a 48-page booklet, Answers to Frequently Asked Questions and Misconceptions.

Prosperity 58 April 2003 - p22 -- Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination The text version reads:

"An incredibly phenomenal documented hat. It's great to have a binder with all the documented material. If anyone has wondered how to get people onto The Bridge from WISE activity, this has all the source references, successful actions and legal forms on how to do it."
Another said, "Definitely needed and wanted on how to bridge the gap between business and personal."

[Prosperity 58, April 2003, page 22]

(Translation of Scientology language: "documented hat" means "job/task description". "source references" are references written by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology and Dianetics.)

Another route WISE takes --aside from the "Consultant's Guide to Bridge Dissemination"-- to make more scientologists is by urging licensed WISE consultants to recruit their clients into Scientology in exchange for money.

World Institute of Scientology Enterprises (WISE) Internationlal also recruits people into Scientology, and not just any part of it but the paramilitary Scientology Sea Organization where they sign a billion year contract and work often 7 days a week. Teenagers have to work the same hours since age doesn't count in the Church of Scientology.
