In order for the character of a human being to reveal truly exceptional qualities, we must have the good fortune to observe its action over a long period of years. If this action is devoid of all selfishness, if the idea that directs it is one of unqualified generosity, if it is absolutely certain that it has not sought recompense anywhere, and if moreover it has left visible marks on the world, then we are unquestionably dealing with an unforgettable character.

L. Ron Hubbard's transcript from the George Washington University

Scientologists stole Hubbard's transcript from his years at the George Washington University to prevent people from finding out that he flunked, and then went on to accuse of libel people that actually found out that Hubbard was lying, even though they knew critics were not lying. Lying is a documented Scientology practice.

Toronto Globe and Mail: "Cult harassment, spying in Canada documented" by John Marshall:

The Washington documents include one stolen from the U.S. Government that confirms reports in books the Scientologists have called libelous. Mr. Hubbard did so poorly in his first university year that he was put on probation for the second year, the document says, and he dropped out after doing worse. He got an F in atomic physics, although cult publicity pieces have suggested that he is an authority in that subject.
