: A CHALLENGE TO ANY THINKING PERSON

TEXT DELETED. COPYRIGHT / TRADE SECRET

Dear Ms./Mr JEB:

I represent Religious Technocracy Cretins ("RTC"), the owner of the
confidential Bible [TM] of the Christian Religion, and the holder of
exclusive rights under the copyrights applicable to the Bible materials.
Among these copyrighted and confidential materials are the Bible [TM]
materials of a certain level known as "The Book of Peter," or "Peter."

I am informed that you have posted on alt.religion.scientology a
portion of the Peter materials without authorization of RTC, which, of
course, would not have given such authorization had it been requested
because we don't want people to achieve eternal peace and salvation unless
they pay us a *lot* of money. Your action violates RTC's legal rights in
that it is the unauthorized making of an electronic copy of the
copyrighted material and the unauthorized disclosure of trade secrets
materials and whatever else I can think of. Oh, yes, in addition, your
action violates federal laws against blasphemy.

Your posting constitutes violations of applicable copyright laws and
trade secret misappropriation entitling our client to damages, injunction,
and damning your soul to eternal torment. It is essential that you take
immediate and effective action to remove the unauthorized copy from the
Internet, and that you refrain from any repetition of this or similar acts
in the future, including having carnal knowledge of nudibranchs. You are
also to delete these and any other Advanced Technology materials from your
hard drive and any floppy disks and to destroy any hard copies you have
made, and to forget you ever read the Bible [TM]. I emphasize: if you
have the Bible [TM], you must immediately put it in a shredder.

In addition, your downloading of the copyright and trade secret
materials also violates laws prohibiting copyright infringement, trade
secret misappropriation, sacrilige, and being a pain in my ass. Your use
and disclosure of these materials is *not* fair use, because
it's *just* *not* *fair*. No case in the United States has ever found
fair use to apply to copying unpublished materials, as even Martin
Luther's attorney had to admit in open court, except for a couple cases
I'd rather not talk about. There is no fair use defense to trade secret
misappropriation, regardless of the fact that the Bible [TM] has been
spread throughout the globe for nigh on two milennia.

I will expect an immediate response from you with a statement of your
willingness to comply with these demands, and to hit your knees and pray
to the RTC and the Christian Religion. If you do not comply immediately,
we will have no other recourse but to initiate legal action to compel
compliance, and you know how much we love compliance. Of course, you may
also find your soul in hell forever.

			Very Truly Yours,
