Subject: Henson's wife deposed 12/17/98 Author: Keith Henson Email: hkhenson@netcom.com Date: 1998/12/19 Forums: alt.religion.scientology This report is not nearly as interesting as the report on Dennis's case where RTC has dropped any claims of damages to keep from being subjected to a jury trial, but still . . . . Last Thursday, RTC subjected my wife to a rather abusive 2004 exam. It was done by Helena "assisted" by Alan Cartwright, her OSA superior. (Helena claimed him as a paralegal, but she handled all the paper, and he only took a few notes. My wife dug into her meager savings and had Ford Greene there representing her. Ford and Alan spent much of the time doing TR-0. [Note by MLP: TR-0 is "Training Routine 0" a routine in which you spend hours staring fixedly at someone. Naturally, the Scientologists charge big money for this and advertise it as a cure for all sorts of problems. Henson's remark means that the senior Scientologist and the long-time enemy of Scientology were trying to stare each other out.] Elane Seid (RTC's rep against me in the bankruptcy set in on a few minutes at the beginning to make it look like they had a legitimate reason. (Seid is Chinese. Wonder if she has any idea of what LRH said on the subject?) [Note by MLP: Among Hubbard's many infamous racist remarks is a comment that the problem with China is that there are "too many chinks" there. This is one of the aspects of Hubbard's work which are kept secret from most of his followers.] Before it even started, Helena claimed that *I* started the net.war, and was completely pissed when I mentioned it was *her* rmgroup which brought Co$ to my attention. It was mostly a fishing and intimidation effort--which did not work very well. Helena went to considerable effort to disclose that they had (without notice) subpoenaed my wife's *and* my daughter's banking records back in September and had obtained copies of checks which gave them the addresses of relatives (neither of their records showed money on any where close to the scale needed to satisfy RTC's judgment and attorney fees). As the day wore on, Helena slowed down to about one question every 90 seconds which got her some rather sharp (and upsetting) words from Ford Greene. She tried to get my wife to describe what Alcor was about and was refused as it having nothing to do with bankruptcy. Helena wanted a long lunch break which my wife refused. Toward the end she was asking questions which were designed to drive a wedge between me and my wife, did she resent the money I took from the family to spend on picketing? It looks like this may backfire badly. More details later. :-) [Note from MLP: Soon after this deposition, Arel Henson became a picketer herself.] Helena was looking really bad, like she was about a week short of sleep, or her OSA superiors might have been abusing her. Those who have seen her before will remember that she used to stare like a gargoyle. Not Thursday. She would stare for a few seconds at my wife and then look down and blink fast almost like she was blinking back tears. Both of us commented later that there may be a real person in there trying to escape the robot shell of the criminally indicted cult. Keith Henson
