The action is only brought against the Estate of Lisa McPherson. That's right, not only did they kill her (or "accident" her), they are now suing Lisa for causing bad publicity by dying in an manner which is inconvenient for Scientology. Needless to say, the estate has no assets until there is a judgment or settlement, since Scientology bankrupted Lisa McPherson, withdrawing the last of her money on a forged check after her death. I spoke to Ken Dandar about the suit. He said; "This lawsuit is entirely frivolous. It's almost as bad to read as an L. Ron Hubbard novel, too fictional for anybody to believe. It's interesting that Scientology lists its damages as more than they have offered to settle the McPherson case for. They consider the harm done to them to be worse than the the harm done which led to the death of a young girl. "This countersuit has no cause of action. I expect it to be dismissed quickly, with prejudice, and with an award of attorney's fees." -- Rod Keller / rkeller@voicenet.com / Irresponsible Publisher / Black Hat #1 Expert of the Toilet / CWPD Mouthpiece / Shelly Thompson in Drag The Lerma Apologist / Merchant of Chaos / Vision of Destruction Bigot of Mystery / OSA Patsy / Quasi-Scieno / Mental Bully / Killer Rod
