July 5, 1997 - Artemis

Editor's note: This non-picket (and the non-picket on June 28) need a little lead-in. Here's what Gregg Hagglund posted to his website in his introduction to the July 12 picket:

Subsequent to our last picket ( June 7) I and others, left hints on ARS of impending pickets.

On the date of the first 'ghost picket' Co$ Toronto loaned their chapel out to a wedding at our usual picketing time. But we weren't there. Rev. Buttnor and company did not officiate at the wedding but did spend considerable time and resources to photographing passersby and the idle curious, including Artemis.

The second 'ghost picket' on Free Odhran Fortune day the Co$ sent out their kids in 90 degree heat (27C) to do an 'Anti-drug' display. Artemis took some pictures of this. (Nice kids BTW.) See Artemis's Ghost Picket Report for details and photos.

(Now Gregg Hagglund reports on Artemis' non-picket:)

The next Saturday the Toronto Org decided to send out their kids on a frying hot day. The kids brigade set up a tired 'Anti-Drug' display featuring as 'special awards' some of those dime a dozen Mayoralty Recognition Letters. This was just before our usual start time and at the hottest part of the day.

Artemis spoke with these youngsters briefly and found them to be polite if a bit uncomfortable.

Sensibly, Artemis only visited with these child-victims of the Co$ for a few moments, just long enough to catch their photos.

Hopefully, if these poor children have been 'Disconnected' , these few photos might give a welcome glimpse to bewildered and grief stricken loved ones or friends, forcibly seperated by a cruel Co$ Doctrine: Disconnection.
