The first workshop is aimed to help ex-members better understand how their group's manipulations affected them in the group and after leaving. The second aims to help the exit-counseled cope more effectively with post-cult difficulties and the recovery process. Sponsored by the American Family Foundation (publisher of the Cult Observer), the ex-member network FOCUS, and the Cult Awareness Network, the workshops will be led by experts with national reputations in the field, including ex-members who have become helping professionals and exit counselors. 2 AFF: Annual Conference "Victims and Their Families" - AFF Annual Conference "Cult Victims and Their Families: Therapeutic Issues" is the title of the 1992 Annual Conference of the American Family Foundation (publisher of the Cult Observer). The conference will take place this year on May 8-9 at the Hyatt Arlington at Key Bridge, in Arlington, VA. The conference aims to provide guide-lines for mental health professionals, clergy, families, and ex-cultists. For information on the conference, contact the American Family Foundation at P.O.
