The secretive AOG has been organized in pseudo-military fashion, with strict submission of followers to leaders, who exercise total control. (Take a Closer Look, Concerned Christian Ministries, Nollamara, Western Australia, Feb./Mar. 1992, 14) Korea Mrs. Moon, Women Said More Active The wife of Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon is reportedly taking a more active role in public affairs, making solo appearances and addressing large rallies of women. She is some 20 years younger than her husband and, as one of the ÒTrue Parents,Ó she is believed to be MoonÕs chosen successor. In April, more than 150,000 attended a rally to initiate the World WomenÕs Peace Federation, the idea being to give women, previously encouraged to be submissive, a more active role in shaping the future. (Most of MoonÕs Western followers are married to Oriental women. ) Recently, a Japanese Buddhist group visited the Unification Church in Korea saying they received a revelation that Sun Myung Moon is the Messiah. Several such groups, each some 400 strong, have reportedly visited, seeking guidance and singing Unification Church holy songs. (Cult Observer Report) France LaRoucheites Convicted of Theft The Lyndon LaRouche organizationÕs New Federalist reports (7/6/92, 3) that four of his associates in France have been convicted in Paris High Court of theft in connection with loans made by an elderly lady to the group.
