Ron Hubbard Video now available A 58-minute video of the 1966 film "L. Ron Hubbard: An Introduction to Scientology," went on sale in September. The $19.95 A.I.P. Home Video (800-334-5433), rough as a home movie, is for the most part a 25-year-old interview with Hubbard concerning his personal background (he "slept with bandits in Mongolia and hunted with pygmies in the Philippines") and the origins and concept of Scientology. He discusses "processing" by "auditors" who help students raise their IQs and approach the level of "clear," which is an enlightened state of worry-free existence. The last few minutes is a hyperbolic come-on ("L. Ron Hubbard, no better friend to man") to sign up at the nearest Scientology school. (From "Discovering origins of Scientology in video of founder," by Buzz McClain, Montgomery Journal [Rockville, MD], 9/19/91.) 2 Statue of The Way's Founder [Victor Paul Wierwille] $200 The Way International is offering to members a $200 seven-inch bronze sculpture of the group's founder Victor Paul Wierwille, who died in 1985.
