The Supreme Court refused yesterday to review the federal government's decision to strip the controversial Church of Scientology of California of its tax-exempt status from 1970 through 1972. Associated Press San Luis Obispo L. Ron Hubbard, the Scientology founder and author who died last year, left more than $26 million in assets excluding trust funds, according to documents filed by his executor.
