A Federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting Henry Holt & Company from distributing additional copies of a biography highly critical of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology. Some 12,500 copies of the book, Bare-Faced Messiah by Russell Miller, were shipped to bookstores on April 27.
