Church leaders and council bosses were locked in a row today after a group branded "little more than a cult" was allowed to take over prominent public space. The Diocese of Birmingham attacked the city council's decision to let the Church of Scientology launch its volunteer ministers' centre in Centenary Square. Nathan Coley is showing visitors around the Scientology Volunteer Minister exhibition. "Scientology means knowing how to know. Benjamin Pell — better known as Benji the Binman - yesterday launched a High Court damages action claiming he was misled into handing over money for a Hollywood blockbuster to be made out of his life.
